Academic Advising

Academic advising is provided by your high school counselor in collaboration with UMD CITS program staff. Set up an appointment with CITS Coordinator, Brooke Rabideau, if you would like to know more about:

  • Transferology support
  • Accessing UMD resources, including the tutoring center
  • MyU support
  • Information on how your UMD CITS course(s) may fulfill UMD Liberal Education program requirements and your progress towards earning a UMD degree before you even come to campus

Tutoring Services

Access UMD's tutoring services for free! Come to campus for tutoring or schedule a virtual appointment. Email the Tutoring Center or Writer's Workshop for a virtual appointment.

You have access to all library resources that an on campus UMD student would! Visit the library webpage to learn more about their research catalogs and services!

  • Chat with a librarian in real-time! This service is available 24/7 and you will be connected to a real, human librarian
  • Library electronic databases for research projects/papers

Contact UMD Disability Resources to Request Accommodations for your CITS Course.

CITS students may request accommodations through UMD’s Disability Resources Office

  1. Complete the Request for Accommodation Form
  2. Email the DR Office to schedule a welcome meeting: [email protected]
  3. At the welcome meeting, chat about barriers and accommodations to address them
  4. DR staff set up accommodations, and the student receives an accommodations letter to share with their CITS teacher.
